WHERE TO SEE THE POSTERS: along MUNI’s T-Line in San Francisco from September 14 – December 31, 2012.

As part of the San Francisco Arts Commission’s 2012 Arts Education Campaign, Sean Dorsey (Artistic Director, Fresh Meat Productions & Sean Dorsey Dance) will be featured on a series of MUNI shelter posters from September 14 – December 31, 2012.

The SFAC’s artIMPACT poster series promotes the importance of the arts in education and features well-known figures including comedienne Margaret Cho; rock band Journey; choreographers Alonzo King and Sean Dorsey; performance artist Rhodessa Jones; visual artist and arts education pioneer Ruth Asawa; and soul sensation Martin Luther McCoy.

Dorsey says “As an openly transgender and queer artist, I am so proud to be a visible face of the Arts and of Arts Education. As a cultural activist, I am passionate about the power of the Arts to transform our world. I am grateful to the SFAC for their support of community-building cultural work in transgender and queer communities.”
