LGBTQ COMMUNITY FORUMS

Sean Dorsey organizes and facilitates free community forums for trans, gender-nonconforming, LGBTQ, and/or mixed groups. The Company offers these community forums during our performance residencies on tour and co-facilitates forums with local trans/LGBTQ activist leaders and organizations. Our community forums explore a range of topics, depending on the work we’re touring:

BOYS IN TROUBLE

Boys In Trouble Community Forums

Sean Dorsey’s full-evening work BOYS IN TROUBLE unpacks contemporary American masculinity with unflinching honesty and from unapologetically trans and queer perspectives. The work is currently touring to 20 cities across the US and is available for booking.

Our Boys In Trouble community forums bring together multiple generations of trans and LGBTQ people to talk about our experiences of trouble and liberation across the intersections of being trans, queer, of color, LGBTQ and more. Co-facilitated by Dorsey with local trans and LGBTQ activists, these forums offer a free, welcoming, informal space for conversation, sharing, listening and learning (with snacks!).

THE MISSING GENERATION

Generations Positive Community Forums

Sean Dorsey’s full-evening work THE MISSING GENERATION gives voice to longtime trans and LGBTQ survivors from the early AIDS epidemic. Dorsey created this powerful dance-theater work after recording 75 hours of oral history interviews with survivors. The work is currently touring to 20 cities across the US and is available for booking.

Our Generations Positive community forums bring together multiple generations of trans and LGBTQ people to talk about our experiences and histories of HIV/AIDS. Co-facilitated by Dorsey with local trans, LGBTQ and HIV/AIDS activists, these forums offer a free, welcoming, informal space for conversation, sharing, listening and learning (with snacks!).
